What is Estimate and BOQ
Estimate
Calculating the amount of material and its possible cost to complete any construction work is called Estimate .
The estimated cost is taken into account of all the possible expenses on the construction work, this estimated cost is approximately equal to the actual cost of the work.
In the estimate, there is a breakup of each stage, for example, in building construction, the breakup of PCC (Plain Cement Concrete) is how much PCC was applied to the footing base, how much PCC was installed in the floor base or somewhere else. It means to say that PCC is the same item, but the use of PCC in construction work, where it has happened, all have to be given in the breakup estimate.
